We're on a mission to get everyone as excited about British beans as we are. Why? Because we truly believe we should be eating more delicious, nutritious food that's grown right here on our doorstep.
Every year, around 800,000 tonnes of fava beans are grown in the UK, yet the majority are exported overseas. At the same time, around 500,000 tonnes of other beans and pulses are imported to fill the gap in our diets.
That doesn't make much sense to us...
We want to see more British-grown food on British plates. Not just when it comes to beans, but across the board. By choosing food produced closer to home, we can support our farmers, strengthen rural communities, reduce food miles and celebrate the fantastic produce grown right here in the UK.
That's why, this Back British Farming Day, we're joining forces with some incredible brands that share our passion for British farming, sustainable food production and great-tasting food.
