Gut-Loving 5 Bean Chilli
Recipe #3 of Fibre-Febuary is a hearty gut-loving 5 bean chilli!
Loaded with flavour, fibre, and a rainbow of beans, it’s a one‑pot wonder that’s as nourishing as it is satisfying. Perfect for weeknight dinners, meal‑prep, or feeding a crowd, it can be a more afforadable (and filling!) version than a meat.

Ingredients:
- 400g Butter beans
- 400g Black beans
- 400g Kidney beans (we used ones in chilli sauce)
- 400g Cannellini beans
- 400g Chopped Tomatoes
- 2 Celery Sticks - chopped
- 1 Red Onion - chopped
- 2 Garlic Cloves - finely chopped
- A tbsp of Cold-Pressed Rapeseed Oil
- 3 tbsp Tomato Puree
- A tsp Paprika
- A tsp Chilli Flakes
- A tsp Thyme
- A tsp Paprika
- A tsp Rosemary

100ml Water
- A Pinch of Salt
To serve:
- A portion of your preferred rice, cook to pack intrustions
- 40g Chillli and Lemon Roasted Fava Beans
Method:
- Chop the celery, onion and garlic up, and add to a pan with the oil. Cook until soft, ensuring you don't burn the garlic.
- Add the choppped tomatoes, cooking for a further 2 minutes before adding ALL the beans!
- Add the tomato puree, seasoning and water, bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer for 20 minutes (or until the suace has thickened).
- Serve with a portion of rice (cooked to the pack instructions) and a generous sprinkle of Chillli and Lemon roasted fava beans.
